Range of Motion Project

ROMP’s mission is to provide high quality prosthetic care in underserved populations, which enhances mobility and unlocks human potential.

We believe in equal access to prosthetic and orthotic services that facilitate independence through mobility.

We recognize the dual hardships of living in poverty with a disability, and stand in solidarity with those who are made to suffer from an unequal distribution of care.

We understand that disability is caused by broken devices and broken healthcare systems – not broken bodies – and we work to increase the mobility, visibility, and dignity of all those marginalized by lack of access to rehabilitative technology.

Mission Gait

Mission Gait was launched to empower the physical rehabilitation community, through education and research. We envision a world in which physical therapists everywhere can acquire the knowledge and skills to help patients with complex gait disabilities learn to move again with confidence.

Mission Gait seeks to change forever how rehabilitation is provided to patients with complex gait disabilities. We can achieve self-sustaining change by 2036, and the roadmap to get there is as unique, simple, and effective as the model it promotes.

CosiTalks

Cosi Belloso is a physical therapist whose dedication to working with amputees started during her formative years working as a newly-graduated PT under the mentorship of Curtis Clark at Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH). Within the setting of JMH’s world-class facilities, she became familiar with the special challenges facing people with limb loss/ deficiencies, from Symmes patients to bilateral above knee amputees. She found her passion in helping these individuals from the immediate pre and post-op care period all the way to full independence with their prosthetics legs.

As time went on, she wanted to be able to reach the amputee community even more, creating a platform to have a voice and bring awareness, knowledge and care with “Cosi Talks!” which is a live feed show that happens every Wednesday evening at 8:30pm EST on Facebook.

This a chance for you, your family, and even your clinicians to ask questions regarding recovery from amputation. Whether you’re fresh out of surgery or a veteran amputee, there is always something new to be learned and this is the place to get your answers! Feel free to explore this website for the schedule of topics that will be discussed and she’ll hope to see you next Wednesday evening!
