At KLPT, regardless of what your challenges are, we want therapy to be a positive experience that intrinsically motivates you and enables

Dream it.

In the initial phase of your care, KLPT providers will focus on gaining a thorough understanding of your unique situation, including acute and long-term needs as well as your personal goals. We will then complete a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation including but not limited to objective outcome measures, movement pattern and postural analysis, strength and flexibility, endurance, motor control, and assessments of balance, neurological status and skin integrity. During this phase, we concentrate on education, connection, and mindset. We will develop an evidence-based physical therapy plan of care, and empower you with education and home exercise program instruction. We will be here for you on this journey to guide you through the transformation to accomplish your unique goals.

Education Phase (PT evaluation, initial few sessions)

  1. understand your body with your new challenges

  2. empower with education to improve limitations

  3. understand your plan of care to get from A to B

Work for it.

We work together to redefine your mobility. In the second phase of your care, we help you develop your confidence as you continue to improve your strength, range of motion, endurance, motor control, body and postural awareness, breathing and movement patterns, and balance while tuning you into your nervous system. Based on the principles of adaptive neuroplasticity and what motivates you, we help you find ways to work towards and stay committed to your goals in a fun, productive, and energizing way.

Mobility Phase (time frame based on individual):

  1. movement training with improved patterns and corrective strategies

  2. repetition and intensity matters

  3. functional-based and therapeutic exercise training

  4. improve your range of motion, strength, endurance, balance, body and postural awareness, motor control; decrease pain thus increase function
